Meet Me

Hi, I’m Dana (She/her/hers)

I am a certified massage therapist, trauma informed full spectrum birth and postpartum doula, and community herbalist. My mission is to guide people back home inside of their bodies by providing safe, nurturing touch and fostering self awareness, autonomy, and intuition. My work is fueled by a yearning for a world that includes accessible and compassionate healthcare for all bodies.

One of the greatest transformations a body can take is to house another body. It is a profound experience that I am honored and humbled to witness and support folks through. The way we birth reflects the way we care for each other and ourselves on a larger scale. My philosophy is rooted in a deep belief of interconnection and interdependence. With gratitude, I support birthing people through doubts, fear, challenges, celebrations, and joy because community care is a healing force.

How did I get here? After some years of feeling disembodied myself, I entered the realms of reproductive health and bodywork as a way to reclaim sovereignty that felt lost to me. I am fascinated by the capacity for our bodies to endure, to transform, and to be resilient. When I’m not doing this work, I’m nerding out over medicinal plants or digging my hands in my garden. I love the open road and feeling small in a great expanse. I’m currently based in Oakland, CA but was raised by the freshwater streams, lush forests, and thunderstorms of North Carolina and Appalachia
